Delete your account
This destroys your DailyCosmos account and everything stored under it on our servers. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore it for you afterwards. That is deliberate, and the next paragraph is why.
Your keys are destroyed first. Everything you back up is sealed on your phone before it reaches us, and we never hold a key that opens it. Deleting the account destroys the wrapped keys before anything else, so every remaining copy of your data (in a replica, in a backup snapshot, anywhere) is permanently unopenable by anyone, including us.
What is deleted:
- Your key wraps and identity key: first, and on their own.
- Every sealed record you have backed up, across all twelve worlds.
- Your reminder schedules, your devices, and your membership of any orbit.
- Your sign-in itself.
What this does not do: it does not touch the copy on your phone. If you still have the app installed, delete the account from You → Your data instead, which erases the phone as well, and export your data first if you want to keep any of it.
Done
Your account is gone
Because the keys went first, any copy of your data that still exists anywhere (a replica, a backup snapshot) can no longer be opened by anyone, including us.
If the app is still installed on a phone, the copy there is untouched. Delete it from You → Your data, or uninstall the app.
This page is your receipt. Nothing was emailed to you, because the address is no longer ours to write to.
